Job Title: SCU Nurse

Shift: 07:00 PM - 07:00 AM

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated SCU Nurse to join our team in a 24-bed step-down unit (SCU) that provides intermediate care for patients transitioning from the ICU to med/surg levels. This role involves caring for patients who require close monitoring but are relatively stable and allows for a fulfilling blend of critical care and patient interaction.

Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor patients who require telemetry and have a variety of cardiac and post-surgical recovery needs.
- Provide compassionate care to patients requiring support during their recovery.
- Utilize strong organizational and multitasking skills to manage a high patient census, typically operating at 98-99% capacity.
- Collaborate effectively with the White Team (cardiology) for patient care management.
- Maintain a clean and organized unit, ensuring easy access to medications and supplies through strategically placed Pyxis machines and a centralized clean supply area.
- Engage in the use of the CenTrack system to manage and silence alarms, contributing to a positive care environment.

Qualifications:
- Active nursing license.
- Proficient in telemetry and capable of managing post-surgical patients.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and prioritize patient care needs.
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach.
