Our journey began with Pete Hietpas, a 21-year-old CNA in eastern Wisconsin. While working with various staffing agencies, Pete realized something crucial was missing. Though he cherished caring for his patients, he noticed a shift from compassion to competitiveness within the industry. Determined to make a difference, Pete founded Nurses PRN in 1995, building on the PRN brand's legacy dating back to the 1970s.

PRN's vision was clear: to set a new standard in healthcare staffing by balancing market competitiveness with genuine compassion. Over time, Nurses PRN expanded into a nationwide healthcare staffing company, embracing a diverse range of professionals including nurses, allied health workers, locum tenens, CNAs, and more. This evolution led to the creation of PRN Healthcare, encompassing all our healthcare divisions.

Our mission is to forge authentic and meaningful relationships with healthcare professionals, empowering them to succeed in their ideal assignments—be it travel contracts, local contracts, or per diem shifts. We believe that by prioritizing the well-being of our healthcare workers, we enhance patient care. This commitment is supported by our dedicated internal team.
