Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team. Our facility, a full-service hospital, is committed to providing compassionate care using state-of-the-art equipment and technology. The Emergency Department is well-equipped to handle a diverse patient population with capabilities for critical care and trauma stabilization.

Key Responsibilities:

- Deliver high-quality nursing care in the Emergency Department.
- Perform patient assessments, administer medications, and manage emergency procedures.
- Stabilize trauma patients and prepare them for transfer to higher-level care if needed.
- Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain a safe and efficient emergency care environment.

Qualifications:

- Current RN license in North Carolina.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in emergency nursing.
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS.
- Experience with trauma stabilization and critical drips preferred.
- Capacity to care for patients of all ages, including pediatrics and geriatrics.

Unit Information:

- The Emergency Department features a 12-bed capacity with additional areas for fast-track patients.
- Patient ratios typically range from 1:6 to 1:4, depending on staffing.
- Familiarity with equipment used in emergency settings such as ventilators and central lines is advantageous.
- Proficient in using the electronic health record system (Meditech).

Working Conditions:

- The position requires working rotating weekends and possibly mid-shifts.
- Team-oriented personality fit is essential, with a collaborative approach to patient care.
- Adhere to dress code: blue scrubs, with options for sweatshirts or tees that maintain professional decorum.

Contract Details:

- Weekly guaranteed hours: 36.
- The role is a contractor replacement, with a commitment of 91 contract weeks.
