Overview:

As an RN in the Acute Care unit, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional patient care. Our facility features 30 inpatient beds and offers a wide range of services, including cardiology, orthopedics, obstetrics and gynecology, primary care, general surgery, urology, spine, internal medicine, pediatrics, wound care, and more.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide comprehensive nursing care to a diverse patient population.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, closely monitoring patient responses.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using the Cerner documentation system.
- Participate in patient education and advocacy, ensuring optimal patient experience.
- Work within established patient ratios of 1:5 on day shifts and 1:6 on night shifts.
- Adhere to hospital-specific guidelines, policies, and dress code (navy scrubs).

Qualifications:

- Valid RN license in North Carolina.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
- Experience in Acute Care or a related field is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Unit Information:

- Number of Beds: 23
- Staffing: 1 Health Unit Coordinator (HUC), 3 Patient Care Technicians (PCT) on days and 2 PCTs on nights.
- Floating policy: As needed, primarily to the Emergency Department (ED).
