ARMStaffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Wheeling, West Virginia.

ARMStaffing is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) for a MedSurg unit. The ideal candidate will have experience in a fast-paced environment and be adaptable to various patient needs. This position requires night shifts, with some weekend rotations as scheduled.
Unit Overview:
- Unit Type: MedSurg
- Bed Count: 52 Beds - All private rooms
Shift Details:
- Shift: 12-Hour Nights
- Schedule: Every-other-weekend (3 weekends out of a 6-week schedule)
- Hours: 1845-0715
Patient Ratios:
The staffing ratios are typically 1:6-7 (mostly 1:7 for both day and night shifts).
Required Certifications:
- BLS (AHA)
- NIHSS
- Preferred: ACLS certification
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive patient care to a diverse population.
- Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) system: Sunrise.
- Team collaboration with Charge Nurse and Clinical Assistants.
- Assess and manage various patient conditions including post-operative care, respiratory issues, and other medical diagnoses.
- Participate in weekend and holiday rotations as scheduled.
Support Staff:
- CNA support: 4-6 CNAs per shift with a ratio of 1:10-12.
- In-house IV Team and Pharmacy available 24/7.
- Continuous support from Hospitalist and Intensivist teams.
Common Diagnoses:
The unit manages a variety of conditions including:
- Post-operative care for orthopedic, neurological, and general surgeries.
- Respiratory diagnoses including COPD and pneumonia.
- Medical issues such as infections and comorbid conditions.
- Highly preferred experience in peritoneal dialysis.
Floating Requirements:
RNs may float to other MedSurg or MedSurg/Oncology units as needed.
Additional Information:
All applicants must submit a valid drivers license. Onboarding includes hospital orientation and unit-specific training. There are opportunities for travel and various bonus incentives.
