Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate MedSurg RN to join our team on a 34-bed medical-surgical unit. The ideal candidate will have over 2 years of experience in a nursing role, specifically in a med/surg environment. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to adult patients with a range of acute medical conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the med/surg unit.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to establish individualized patient care plans.
- Monitor patient status and response to treatments, ensuring timely interventions.
- Administer medications and perform procedures in accordance with established protocols.
- Educate patients and their families about health conditions and post-discharge care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using Cerner EMR.

Qualifications:
- Current RN License (WV or Compact License, pending licenses acceptable).
- BCLS and NIH certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in a medical-surgical setting.
- Demonstrated ability to manage patient care in high-stress situations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Patient Ratios:
- Day Shift: 5-7 patients per nurse
- Night Shift: 6 patients per nurse

Unit Information:
- The unit is supported by IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, and more.
- Daily census of approximately 30 patients.

Additional Information:
- Scrubs will not be provided.
- Orientation is 12 hours, with every other Thursday scheduled for newcomers.
- Attendance Policy: Requires a maximum of 2-3 call-offs throughout the contract period.
