Title : Certified Pharmacy Technician
Duration : 13 weeks
Location : 3400 Spruce Street Philadelphia PA 19104
Schedule :
Shift can start any time from 7:30am - 9:30am, but an 8 hour shift must follow.
Every 3rd Weekend 8.5 hour shift; 30 min unpaid lunch; comp day during the week for weekends worked
Unit - Outpatient Pharmacy
Key Responsibilities:
1.Process prescriptions accurately through the pharmacy system, including adjudication to third-party insurance plans and coordination of patient discharge medications.
2.Assist with timely and accurate medication filling, delivery, and reconciliation, including collecting medication histories and supporting multidisciplinary rounds.
3.Communicate effectively with patients, families, pharmacists, providers, and insurance companies to coordinate medication access and resolve issues.
4.Facilitate prior authorizations, manage co-pay cards, and support specialty pharmacy coordination to ensure continuity of care post-discharge.
5.Maintain inventory, attend service line meetings, and uphold all duties expected of a pharmacy technician, including production, delivery, and prescription processing.
6.Demonstrate strong organizational skills while managing high-volume medication transitions and discharge planning with a patient-centered focus.
