HIGHLIGHTS:
- Required BLS (American Heart Assoc.)
- Required ACLS (American Heart Assoc.)
- Required IEMA Radiography License Illinois
- Required Radiography (R)(ARRT)
- Required Cardiac Cath Lab Experience
- Required Interventional Radiology Experience
- Required Associates Degree in Related Field OR Certificate in Radiologic Technology
- Required to float to all procedural areas
- Able to take call after 6 months of orientation
- Schedule: M-F: 4/10 hr shifts; 7:30AM-6:00PM
- On call = every 3rd weekend, Fri-Sun, 1-2 weekdays

MORE INFORMATION:
- Administers contrast material (when applicable), according to physicians request, by means of existing IV line or by performing venipuncture and placing IV line
- Recognizes and responds to hypersensitivity or allergic reactions
- Anticipates set-up and needs for invasive procedures
- Assists with inventory/supplies
- Checks for correct patient and chart identification, diagnosis, and treatment position
- Compiles pertinent clinical information pertaining to lab, pathology, etc.
- Administers medication in compliance with scope of practice
- Documents accurately and completely
- Explains procedure to patient and provides for patient care- including comfort, support, safety, and confidentiality
- Performs all essential functions of the Invasive Lab Radiologic Technologist
- Performs on call duties and/or work variable shifts as assigned to meet department needs
- Maintains a clean and neat work area
- Demonstrates competence in the operation of imaging, physiological monitoring, and related equipment
- Performs basic troubleshooting for this equipment
- Able to work around and maintain a sterile field during procedures
- Administers and with holds contrast and treatment as appropriate
- Assess patients for allergies
- Function as a scrub and monitor technician on rotating basis during procedures
- Assists physician during interventional procedures
- Preferred Skills: Neuro Interventional Experience, EP Experience
