Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Day Shift (3x12 hrs)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team. The RN will be responsible for maintaining the delivery of quality care by ensuring the nursing care plan is effectively followed. This role requires the supervision and training of Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and orientees, as well as a commitment to patient and employee safety.

Key Responsibilities:

- Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough nursing assessments for all patients within 8 hours of admission to create individualized care plans.
- Collaboration: Identify teaching needs and goals by collaborating with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
- Documentation: Ensure accurate and timely documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient responses in accordance with policy.
- Patient Care: Provide direct patient care by employing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, prioritizing education for patients and their families.
- Discharge Planning: Initiate discharge planning on the day of admission and provide patient education aligned with discharge goals.
- Communication: Communicate changes in patient status effectively among care providers to support continuity of care.
- Supervision: Provide direction, training, and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel, while facilitating an efficient work environment.
- Safety Compliance: Uphold personal and environmental safety in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
- Team Contribution: Engage positively with team members, other departments, patients, and families to foster a supportive work environment.
- Resource Management: Maintain communication with management regarding supply and equipment needs, ensuring cost-effective care delivery.
- Professional Development: Proactively pursue professional growth through continuing education and self-study.
- Additional Duties: Assume charge responsibilities as needed and perform other job-related duties as required.

Qualifications:

- Current RN licensure (state-specific).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, required prior to the first shift.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification may be required for certain locations.
- Minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience preferred.
