Registered Nurse (RN) - Psych ER
Job Summary: The RN Psych ER provides immediate care to patients experiencing psychiatric emergencies. This role involves rapid mental health assessments, crisis intervention, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to stabilize patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform mental status exams and triage patients in acute psychiatric distress.
- Implement de-escalation strategies and emergency interventions when needed.
- Administer psychiatric medications under physician orders.
- Coordinate with psychiatrists, social workers, and community resources for patient disposition.
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes thoroughly.
