Job Description: Travel Registered Nurse - ICU (Day Shift) Location: Person Memorial Hospital, Roxboro, NC Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM Assignment Type: Travel Contract
Position Overview: Person Memorial Hospital is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Travel Registered Nurse to join the Intensive Care Unit for a day shift assignment. This role is ideal for a nurse who thrives in high-acuity environments and is committed to delivering exceptional patient care.
Unit Details:
- ICU with 6 beds
- Nurse-to-patient ratio: 3:1
- Electronic Health Record system: Meditech
- Common diagnosis/treatment: COPD exacerbation
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients
- Monitor patient conditions and respond promptly to changes
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop care plans
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
- Educate patients and families regarding care and recovery
Qualifications:
- Active RN license in North Carolina or compact state
- Minimum of two years ICU experience required
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
- Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
Additional Information:
- Required attire: Navy blue scrubs
- Weekend rotation: Every other weekend
