Department/Unit Summary

The Med/Surg Unit at Bluegrass Community Hospital embodies a culture of teamwork and effective communication, essential for providing specialized care to acute care and swing bed patients. This 16-bed unit operates within a critical access hospital setting, ensuring patients receive optimal medical attention and support.

How youll contribute

Youll make an impact by assessing the patients condition and nursing care needs to create a specialized plan of care. You will collaborate with physicians and provide patients and/or family with instruction and education relevant to conditions. You will shape exceptional patient journeys every day and leverage your skills to directly impact patient wellbeing.

Qualifications and requirements
Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess an associate or bachelors degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

• Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
• One year of experience preferred
