Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Intermediate Care Unit (IMC)
Location: Meadowview Regional Medical Center, Maysville, KY
Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Position Summary:
Meadowview Regional Medical Center is seeking a compassionate and skilled Intermediate Care Unit (IMC) Registered Nurse to join our night shift team. The IMC provides care for patients who require close monitoring and specialized nursing care, but not the intensity of an ICU. This role is ideal for nurses who are confident in their clinical skills and thrive in a collaborative, patient-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to patients with complex medical needs.
- Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and perform treatments as prescribed.
- Recognize and respond to changes in patient conditions promptly.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Adhere to hospital policies, safety protocols, and regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
- Current RN license in the state of Kentucky (or compact state license).
- BLS and ACLS certifications required (must be current).
- 1+ year of acute care or step-down/IMC experience preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational abilities.
- Float Requirements: YES TO TELEMETRY AND CRITICAL CARE AT TIMES
