Job Description: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Shift: 19:00 - 07:00
Location: Danville, VA

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic healthcare team. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 5 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience. Candidates with combined experience in both ICU and ED will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality emergency care to patients of all ages in a fast-paced ED environment.
- Assess patient needs, develop care plans, and implement nursing interventions.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate documentation and utilize electronic health records (EHR) including MedHost and Meditech.
- Adhere to best practices in patient safety and infection control.

Requirements:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Emergency Department nursing.
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH, and either PALS or ENPC.
- Ability to work rotating weekends and participate in an as-needed float requirement.

Facility Profile:
- 31 beds and 2 triage rooms, with 7 beds designated for Behavioral Health or Acute patients.
- Patient ratios are typically 1:4, with adjustments made based on patient needs and volume.
- Orientation for new hires occurs bi-weekly on Tuesdays.

Ideal Candidate:
- A professional who is compassionate, positive, and a strong team player.
- Extensive experience in Emergency Room settings is highly preferred.
