Job Description: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Shift: 19:00-07:00
Location: Warrenton, VA
Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36 hrs/wk
Weekend Hours: Every other weekend

Position Overview:
We are seeking a self-motivated and self-sufficient Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic healthcare team. As an ER nurse, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care across a diverse patient population, from pediatric to geriatric. You will be responsible for performing various essential ER tasks, ensuring a positive experience for patients and families while meeting operational metrics.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in the emergency department.
- Conduct assessments and prioritization of patient needs.
- Perform essential ER tasks, including phlebotomy, IV initiation, EKG monitoring, splinting, wound care, and patient transport.
- Collaborate effectively with healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EHR system (Meditech).

Qualifications:
- Current RN licensure and certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS, NIHSS.
- Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience in an emergency or acute care setting.
- Excellent team collaboration and communication skills.
- Strong patient-centered focus with a commitment to enhancing patient and family experiences.
- Ability to float to units appropriate to skills as needed (rare).

- The Emergency Department provides services to a varied patient population across the age spectrum.
- The facility is equipped with state-of-the-art medical technologies and a team-oriented environment.
