Job Title: Travel RN - Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM Facility: Maria Parham Health Location: Henderson, North Carolina
Position Summary: Maria Parham Health is seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Progressive Care Unit for night shifts. The PCU RN provides intermediate-level care to patients who require close monitoring and specialized nursing interventions, bridging the gap between intensive care and general medical-surgical units.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients with complex medical conditions
- Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and manage IV therapies
- Perform detailed assessments and respond to changes in patient status
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and recovery processes
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety protocols, and regulatory standards
Qualifications:
- Active RN license in North Carolina or compact state eligibility
- Minimum of 2 years recent experience in PCU, Telemetry, or ICU settings
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and time management skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and work independently
Schedule:
- Night shifts: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
