RUSH University Medical Center is an academic hub with a 671-bed hospital for adults and children, the 61-bed Johnston R. Bowman Health Center, and RUSH University. For over 180 years, we've pioneered innovative treatments that save lives. Today, our center thrives as a nucleus for basic and clinical research, with physicians and scientists engaged in hundreds of projects to develop and test new therapies and medical devices. We offer over 70 selective residency and fellowship programs across medical specialties. Our commitment extends beyond patient care to impactful community engagement through initiatives like the RUSH Community Services Initiatives Program.

Partnering with RUSH University Medical Center, we blend community hospital convenience with top-tier academic expertise. Our clinical strengths include cancer care, cardiology, diabetes management, and breast imaging. RUSH University focuses exclusively on health sciences within the same campus as RUSH University Medical Center. Comprising four colleges—Medical College, College of Nursing, College of Health Sciences, and Graduate College—our university offers highly ranked programs that integrate patient care with research and education.
