In this role you will provide direct nursing care to our most critically ill intensive care cardiac and medical patients. If you are looking for a supportive and teamwork oriented environment, apply today! </p><p><b>What you will do in this role:</b></p><ul><li>As a registered nurse in the CCU you will provide therapeutic care of seriously and critically ill patients for a variety of heart diseases and conditions, including resuscitation.</li><li>You will provide hemodynamic monitoring, dysrhythmia recognition, ventilator management, and other evolving techniques as they are developed.</li><li>Working closely with a multidisciplinary team of nurses, cardiac specialists and patient care staff, you will administer prescribed medications and monitor vital signs in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the facility.</li><li>During every shift you will monitor, record and communicate patient conditions utilizing our computerized documentation systems.</li><li>When dealing with patients, visitors, co-workers and other customers, you will maintain cultural and diversity awareness, and much more.</li></ul><h6>What qualifications you will need:</h6><ul><li>Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred).</li><li>Current Registered Nurse License in Virginia or Current Multistate Compact License.</li><li>1 year of nursing experience in an acute care hospital setting.</li><li>1 year of critical care (ICU) nursing experience preferred.</li><li>Current American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS or BCLS) Certification.</li><li>Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date. </li></ul><p><br>CJW Medical Center is comprised of Chippenham Hospital and Johnston-Willis Hospital.
