If youre dedicated to providing individualized care and ensuring a safe school environment, this role is perfect for you!</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Individualized Care:</strong> Provide one-on-one nursing care to a specific student with medical needs, including administering medications, managing chronic conditions, and providing first aid as required. </li><li><strong>Health Monitoring:</strong> Monitor the student's health status regularly, documenting any changes and communicating with parents, teachers, and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care. </li><li><strong>Emergency Response:</strong> Respond promptly and effectively to medical emergencies. Provide emergency care and coordinate with emergency services when necessary. </li><li><strong>Health Education:</strong> Educate the student, school staff, and family about the student's health condition and necessary care procedures. Promote health and wellness practices within the school environment. </li><li><strong>Documentation:</strong> Maintain accurate and confidential health records for the student. Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations regarding health documentation and reporting. </li><li><strong>Collaboration:</strong> Work closely with the students family, school staff, and healthcare providers to develop and implement an individualized health plan. Participate in meetings to discuss the student's progress and any required adjustments. </li></ul> <p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Education:</strong> Valid RN license in the state of Texas is required. A degree or diploma in Nursing from an accredited program is essential. </li><li><strong>Experience:</strong> Previous experience as a school nurse or in a pediatric setting is highly desirable. Experience in providing care to students with specific medical needs is a plus. </li><li><strong>Skills:</strong> Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
