Job Description: Critical Care RN - 12H Night Shift
Facility Overview
Join a small rural hospital with a total of 24 beds, specializing in Acute Care. As part of our dedicated team, you will play a vital role in delivering quality patient care to a diverse population ranging from pediatric to geriatric patients.
Position Details
- Shift: 12-Hour Night Shift
- Unit Name: Med/Surg 1404
- Patient to Nurse Ratio: 1:5
- Minimum Clinical Experience Required: 1 year
- Certifications Required: NY RN License, BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale
- Holiday Requirements: Yes
- Scheduling: Every other weekend
Patient Population
You will be caring for patients with various diagnoses, including:
- COPD exacerbation
- CHF
- Sepsis
- Altered Mental Status
- Diabetes
- Cellulitis
Equipment and Support
The unit is equipped with:
- b.braun infusomat pumps
- Tabletop BiPAP machines
Respiratory support is available 24/7, and nurses work closely with aides to perform essential tasks, such as starting IVs and administering medications.
Qualifications
- Active NY RN License
- BLS, ACLS certifications
- Epic experience within the past 2 years (required)
- Experience in starting IVs and performing shift assessments
Additional Information
This position requires the flexibility to float to medical-surgical units as needed. All applicants should have reliable transportation, as public transportation is not accessible in the area.
