Job Title: Operating Room Nurse (RN)

Shift Details:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 6:45 AM - 3:15 PM
- On-call Hours: Required, around 10-11 days of call per month including weekends and 3rd weekend coverage (Friday 3 PM to Monday 7 AM). Must adhere to a 30-minute response time for call shifts.

Department Overview:
- Unit: Operating Room
- Number of OR Suites: 3 OR rooms and 1 endoscopy room
- Average # of Cases per Day: 6-25, varying by specialty

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality nursing care in the operating room environment.
- Assist in various surgical procedures, with a focus on outpatient surgery, same-day surgery, and post-anesthesia care unit (PACU).
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and optimal surgical outcomes.
- Participate in pre-operative assessments and care plans for patients.
- Float as required between outpatient surgery, pre-operative, and PACU settings.

Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year in the operating room with proficiency in a variety of surgical specialties (eyes and endoscopy experience preferred).
- Certifications: Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Skills: Must possess scrubbing skills and be comfortable with outpatient and PACU experiences.
- Additional: Must be able to adapt to a fast-paced environment and work well under pressure.

Documentation Technology:
- Familiarity with EMR systems, specifically MedHost and Epic, is required.

Dress Code:
- Grey scrubs are provided.

Orientation:
- Two days of department-specific orientation will be provided, allowing for hands-on experience.

Cancellation Policy:
- 2 shifts permitted for cancellation within a 13-week contract period.
