Job Title: Night Shift Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg General Medical Unit

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Night Shift Registered Nurse (RN) for a 12-hour position in our Med Surg General Medical Unit (GMU). The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background, along with the ability to adapt to various patient care needs. This is an excellent opportunity for RNs seeking to contribute to a teaching hospital environment.

Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Med Surg General Medical Unit.
- Float to other units as needed based on patient care requirements.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Monitor and assess patients vital signs and overall health status.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Educate patients and families on health management and treatment options.
- Adhere to hospital protocols and standards of care.

Qualifications:
- Current RN licensure and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience required.
- Prior travel nursing experience is required.
- Charge nurse experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with essential medical equipment, including IV pumps, pulse oximeters, and tube feeding pumps.
- Teaching hospital experience is preferred.

Work Schedule:
- Night shift, 12-hour shifts
- Travelers will receive priority for floating based on unit needs.

Contract Information:
- Position available for 91 contract weeks.
- All credentialing must be submitted one week prior to the start date.
- Available start dates include every other Monday, with specific initiation dates noted in the guidelines.

Additional Notes:
- Limited restriction to request time off (RTO) - all RTO must be submitted and approved prior to acceptance.
- Vaccination declinations for COVID-19 and flu will be accepted.
- Local travelers residing under 60 miles from the hospital will not be considered.
