Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled ICU Nurse with specialized experience in postoperative cardiac and vascular surgery patients. This position requires extensive knowledge and proven competencies in managing high-acuity patients with advanced hemodynamic monitoring needs. The ideal candidate must be proficient with ventilators, arterial lines, spinal drains, hemodynamic monitoring, ECG interpretation, temporary pacemakers, and vasoactive and inotropic drip titrations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert nursing care to immediate postoperative cardiac and vascular surgery patients in a high-acuity ICU environment.
- Perform and interpret advanced hemodynamic monitoring to guide patient care decisions.
- Maintain and operate ventilators and other advanced life-support equipment.
- Administer medications and titrate vasoactive and inotropic drips as per current protocols.
- Collaborate effectively within an interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Participate in competency testing and adhere to the patient care standards set by the facility.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2-3 years of nursing experience in a CVICU setting.
- Epic experience is required.
- Competency test completion within 24 hours of submission is mandatory.
- Availability to work the designated shifts consistently.
- Must be familiar with protocols for managing high-acuity patients post-surgery.
Additional Information:
- Local candidates may be subject to eligibility criteria based on residency.
- Candidates will be required to provide navy blue scrubs for the duration of their assignment.
- This position may require floating to other units based on staffing needs.
