Job Title: Registered Nurse - Labor Delivery

Location: Sanford, NC

Shift: Night - 19:00-07:00

Position Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Labor Delivery team. This role requires a dedicated professional with a strong background in womens services, specifically in labor and delivery. You will provide high-quality care to expectant mothers and newborns, ensuring a safe and supportive environment throughout the birthing process.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care in the Labor Delivery unit, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Monitor maternal and fetal health, recognizing and responding to changes in conditions.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on prenatal care, birthing options, and postpartum support.
- Participate in patient assessments, developing nursing diagnoses, and formulating care plans.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records using Cerner EHR.
- Respond to emergencies and provide advanced life support as required.

Qualifications:
- Active RN license to practice in North Carolina.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in Labor Delivery/Womens Services.
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI/HWC/MAB, AWHONN, NRP, and PALS.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional demeanor.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Unit Information:
- Number of Beds: 17 (including 5 postpartum rooms)
- Patient Ratios: As per facility standards
- Supervisor: Felisha Eskridge, Director of Women Services

Additional Information:
- Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
- Weekend hours: Every other weekend
- On-call requirements: As needed

- Scrubs: Any color, with no casual attire permitted.
