Job Title: MedSurg/Tele RN - Night Shift (3x12 Hour Schedule)

Shift: 3x12 Hour Nights (19:00 - 07:00)

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced MedSurg/Tele Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in a tertiary care hospital known for providing comprehensive healthcare services. The ideal candidate will have a strong nursing background with acute care experience, particularly in Medical-Surgical and Telemetry settings.

Responsibilities:

- Provide high-quality patient care in a MedSurg/Tele environment, adhering to hospital protocols and standards.
- Monitor patient conditions, assess needs, and implement appropriate interventions for a patient load of 1:5 to 1:7.
- Document patient information accurately using the Epic charting system.
- Participate in rounding with interdisciplinary teams, including IV teams, physical therapy, and rapid response teams.
- Maintain compliance with infection control protocols and isolation precautions.

Qualifications:

- Active New York RN license required (must have license in hand).
- Minimum of 1 year of MedSurg/Telemetry experience within the last 6 months.
- Proficient in EPIC charting system.
- Ability to manage a diverse patient demographic, including adults and geriatrics.
- Must be available for every other weekend shift.
- No first-time travelers will be accepted for this position.

Unit Details:

- Total Staffed Beds: 528
- Daily Census: 21 patients in a MedSurg/Tele unit
- Patient Age Groups: Adults, Geriatrics
- Support Services: Includes IV teams, respiratory services, social services, and pharmacy.

Other Information:

- Floating may be required within the hospital.
- Pre-approved time off not available during the Labor Day holiday.
- Orientation hours: 36 hours.
- Guaranteed hours available.
