Job Title: MRI Technologist

Shift: PM 12 Hours (4x10s - Evenings, hours between 11 AM - 11:30 PM)
On-Call Requirements: Usually 2-3 times every 2 weeks, typically before or after shifts for an average of 4 hours.

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated MRI Technologist to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) processes and safety protocols within the magnetic resonance environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Ensure patient and personnel safety in accordance with established standards.
- Prepare and position patients for MR procedures, providing thorough explanations of the examination and addressing any questions.
- Conduct various MRI procedures, including neuro, body, and extremity scans, adhering strictly to protocols set by radiologists.
- Perform venous access and administer IV contrast when directed by a radiologist.
- Input necessary information accurately into the Radiology Imaging System, IDX Imaging Suite, and Picture Archive Communication System.
- Process and manage imaging results as required and demonstrate the ability to identify anatomy on images.
- Carry out quality control tests on imaging equipment and report any detection of irregularities or malfunctions to the Team Leader and appropriate maintenance personnel.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure optimal ordering of supplies and communicate supply levels effectively.
- Act as a liaison within the Radiology department, providing support to physicians and referring any issues to the Team Leader.
- Handle non-controlled medications as needed during imaging exams and procedure setups.

Qualifications:

- Education: Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology (Required)
- Experience: Relevant clinical experience in MRI technology is preferred.
- Certifications and Licenses:
- Basic Life Support Certification (Default Issuing Body)
- Certified MRI Technologist (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - ARRT)
- Certified Radiology Technologist (ARRT)
