Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of emergency care, demonstrating strong clinical skills and the ability to provide high-quality nursing care in fast-paced environments. As an ED RN, you will play a crucial role in assessing patient needs, prioritizing care, and delivering effective treatment while maintaining effective communication with patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

- Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of patients of all age groups, identifying urgent or emergent care priorities in accordance with established Triage Standards.
- Care Provision: Provide direct care and appropriate interventions based on the patients clinical presentation and needs, responding promptly to life-threatening situations.
- Communication: Establish rapport with patients and families, addressing their comfort needs and providing updates throughout the emergency visit.
- Documentation: Accurately document major deviations from normal assessments and report critical findings to the healthcare team.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes, fostering trust and respect among team members.
- Patient Education: Prepare and inform patients and families about diagnostic procedures and post-emergency care. Assess learning styles to ensure effective comprehension of discharge instructions.
- Cultural Sensitivity: Assess the cultural and psychosocial needs of patients, maintaining awareness of family dynamics and addressing any suspected domestic violence or abuse.
- Emergency Preparedness: Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain certification and improve skills in emergency care practices.

Qualifications:

- Active BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (must be AHA or RQI).
- State RN Licensure.
- Minimum of two years of acute hospital experience as a Registered Nurse, with at least one year of experience in an Emergency Department setting.
