Job Title: Interventional Radiology (IR) Technician

Location: Bassett Medical Center

Shift: 07:00 AM - 05:00 PM, 3 x 12-hour shifts per week

Unit Profile: Cath Lab

Position Description:
We are seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology (IR) Technician to join our dynamic team at Bassett Medical Center. In this role, you will work in a hybrid room equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including the Siemens Artis Pheno system. Your responsibilities will include providing support for vascular interventional procedures and collaborating with the medical team to ensure optimal patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with vascular interventional radiology procedures.
- Operate and maintain advanced imaging equipment, including an Acist injector and other necessary devices.
- Provide quality assurance during procedures and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
- Work flexibly with the existing IR Tech to provide comprehensive coverage in the lab.

Experience Requirements:
- Required: Experience in vascular interventional radiology.
- Preferred: Experience in electrophysiology (EP) and device implantation.

Qualifications:
- Valid IR Technician license/certification.
- Knowledge of advanced imaging techniques, including wireless ultrasound probes, IVUS systems, and shock wave technology.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Additional Notes:
- Requests for time off (RTO) should be coordinated with fellow IR Tech providers to ensure full coverage.
- Interviews and offers for this position are usually extended within 2-3 days.

Health and Safety Requirements:
Candidates must complete various health screenings and maintain updated immunizations, including MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza, Varicella, and TB tests as part of the onboarding process. A physical/health statement will also be required.

Professional Requirements:
- Submission of two professional references will be required for onboarding.
- Background and employment verification checks will be conducted as part of the hiring process.
