Nationwide Therapy Group is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Kearney, Nebraska.

Facility Compliance
- Facility Policy:
- Radius Rule: Must live 50+ miles from facility
- Candidates may NOT be employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) at any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility
- Driver's license required at submission to verify distance
- Exam Requirement:
- Open-book pass/fail exam during orientation (Fridays)
- Must score 90% or higher to pass; failure = termination
- RTO Policy:
- Maximum 7 days per 13-week contract, must be submitted upfront
- No additional RTO will be approved post-submission
- Cancellation Policy:
- Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week contract (3 for shorter contracts)
Unit Specifics
- Beds: 33 total; Average Daily Census: 16
- Nurse:Patient Ratio: 1:2-3 (adults)
- Common Patient Diagnoses:
- Sepsis, Post-stent, Pacemaker, Stroke
- Vascular cases, Renal failure, Heart failure, Respiratory distress
- Titration Required: Yes
- Common Drips: Cardiac drips, insulin, sedation
- Respiratory Equipment:
- Includes vents, CPAP, BiPAP, High Flow
- RNs required to troubleshoot and manage from nasal cannula to vent
- Monitor/Tele:
- RNs must read and interpret own strips
- No monitor techs
- Support Staff:
- Health Support Tech available Mon-Fri, 0800-1630
- Floating Requirements:
- Typically to PCU, possibly to MedSurg
Scheduling Orientation
- Schedule Notes:
- 0630-1830 / 1830-0630
- Self-scheduling for core staff; travelers added in
- Block scheduling NOT guaranteed
- Blocked schedule allowed only for weekends (upon request)
- Duos not accepted if requesting same schedule or sharing transportation
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Holiday Requirement: Rotating, based on weekend group
- Orientation: 3 unit-specific shifts
