Nationwide Therapy Group is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Omaha, Nebraska.

- Unit Beds:
- 10 Labor beds
- 16 Postpartum beds
- Patient Population:
- Labor Delivery, High-risk OB, Triage, Postpartum couplets
- C-section deliveries and recoveries
- Antepartum patients
- Culturally diverse population
- AWHONN Staffing Guidelines Followed
- Staffing:
- 1 OB Tech for the entire floor
- PRN Nurse Aides and second Tech available
- Support Team:
- Educator, Manager, NICU Supervisor, Perinatal Safety Specialist
- Unit Culture: Strong team environment, great communication, and team players
- Patient Satisfaction: 98%, Blue Distinction Designated Plus
Required Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of Labor Delivery experience
- Must be able to independently manage antepartum and laboring patients
- Must also be able to provide postpartum/couplet care
- Experience with:
- Inductions
- Vaginal deliveries and recoveries
- C-sections (including circulating and recovery)
- High-risk OB and triage
- Must be proficient with:
- Oxytocin
- Magnesium
- Epidural
- Blood pressure medications
- IV pumps, SCDs
Certifications Required:
- BLS - American Heart Association
- NRP
- PALS
Scheduling Orientation:
- Schedule: 12-hour nights, self-scheduling
- Weekend Requirement: Every 3rd weekend (may vary based on need)
- Orientation:
- 1 classroom day
- 2-3 floor shifts
Radius Affiliation Restrictions:
- Radius Rule: Must live 50+ miles from the facility
- Cannot be full-time, part-time, or PRN with CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity Health
- Driver's License required at submittal to verify distance
Bonus Skills:
- Postpartum care experience is a plus
- EPIC experience preferred
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills
Dress Code:
- Navy Blue scrubs
Cancellation Policy:
- Hospital may cancel up to:
- 4 shifts per 13-week contract
- 3 shifts for shorter contracts
