Nuclear Medical Technologist

Our Nuclear Medicine teams are a committed, caring group of professionals. We are currently reviewing applications for a Florida-licensed Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team on a full-time basis. As a Nuclear Medicine Tech, you will perform diagnostic and therapeutic technical procedures utilizing radiopharmaceuticals in a careful, compassionate and respectful manner. Your tasks and responsibilities as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist include but are not limited to:

. Use radioactive isotopes to perform organ and body scans

. Prepare radioactive isotopes for administration to patients in accordance with physicians orders; Administer and record dosages as well

. Perform diagnostic studies on patients using scanners or scintillation cameras to detect radiation emitted and to produce image of organ on photographic film

. Position patients and adjust immobilization devices

. Compassionately explain procedures to patients and addresses concerns

. Monitor, record and communicate utilizing computerized documentation (MEDITECH)

. Assist with transporting patients

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited and AMA-approved Nuclear Medicine Technology training program
• Clear/Active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT)
• Valid CNMT through NMTCB
• Current Basic Life Support certification
• Recent experience as a licensed Nuclear Medicine Technologist preferred
• Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs
