Position Summary:
The CT Technologist performs diagnostic and therapeutic CT procedures according to established protocols to assist the referring physician in diagnosis and treatment. Our CT Technologists perform computed tomography (CT) procedures by selecting correct exposure factors, algorithms and scan fields while utilizing the assessment of patient age and diagnosis to produce technically accurate cross sectional images to assist the radiologist in diagnosis and treatment. You will participate in complex invasive CT examinations by assisting the Radiologist or Physicians Assistant using proper sterile technique and producing CT images.
Qualifications
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- Licensed Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the Connecticut Department of Public Health obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- CT Advanced certification by ARRT required within 12 months of job entry date. Failure to meet this requirement will result in termination or transfer out of CT Technologist job.
Education:
- Graduate from an accredited Radiography program
St. Vincents Medical Center of Hartford Healthcare is located in Bridgeport and has more than 3,200 employees. It includes a 473-bed community teaching hospital, a 76-bed inpatient psychiatric facility in Westport, a large multispecialty provider group, special needs services for adults and children, and a brand-new Neuro Suite supporting elective neuro endovascular procedures as well as emergent thrombectomies.
