Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our fast-paced Observation Unit. This role requires a commitment to providing high-quality care for adult patients in a critical environment. The Observation Unit focuses on adult patients needing additional monitoring to assess the seriousness of their conditions, determining whether they require hospital admission or can be safely released home.

Key Responsibilities:

- Deliver excellent nursing care in a dynamic setting, managing an average of 20 to 27 patients per day with an average length of stay of 27 hours.
- Work collaboratively with a team, including 24/7 provider coverage, to assess and monitor patients effectively.
- Provide care for a diverse adult population, including both emergency observation and admitted boarding patients.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications:

- Licensure: Valid RN License in New York (NY License ONLY).
- Experience: Minimum of two years of Med/Surg experience required.
- Telemetry Skills: Experience in telemetry care is mandatory.
- Certifications:
- BLS (American Heart Association ONLY) required.
- NIHSS certification is preferred.
- Must be committed to the 17-week contract term, with an end date of January 10, 2026.
