Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Day Shift

Job Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team on a Day Shift schedule (3x12 hours). The RN plays a vital role in ensuring the delivery of quality patient care and overseeing the nursing care plan. This position involves supervising Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and new staff to maintain high standards of care and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission, using the data to develop individualized care plans.
- Identify teaching needs and goals for patients and collaborate with their families and the interdisciplinary team.
- Provide timely patient information and documentation during Initial Team Conferences and weekly Re-evaluation Team Conferences.
- Deliver direct patient care by employing the nursing process: assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care while prioritizing patient and family education.
- Initiate discharge planning and patient education starting from the day of admission.
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding changes in patient status to ensure continuity of care.
- Provide direction, training, and supervision to ancillary nursing staff, while utilizing problem-solving techniques and effective delegation.
- Promote a safe environment by adhering to safety policies and procedures, ensuring personal and environmental safety.
- Engage in team-building activities to enhance unit efficiency and create a positive work atmosphere.
- Monitor supplies and equipment, communicate service needs to management, and ensure cost-effective patient care practices.
- Assume charge responsibilities as requested following an orientation period.
- Seek professional development through continuing education and self-study to enhance skills and competencies.

Qualifications:
- A valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required prior to the first shift.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required for specific units prior to the first shift.
- Minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience is highly desired.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to patient safety and quality care.
