Prime Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Camden, New Jersey.
Job Description Requirements
- Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit
- Discipline: RN
- Start Date: ASAP
- Duration: 13 weeks
- 48 hours per week
- Shift: 12 hours, nights
- Employment Type: Travel
Weekends Only Crit Care/ICU RN Needed
Schedule: Nights. F-M Weekends. 36 or 48 hours. Fri-Sun or Sat-Mon Only 7p-7:30a. Every other Holiday
Cancelation Policy: Cooper can cancel 1 shift bi-weekly (per pay period) without penalty.
Requirements:
CRRT and EVD Required
IABP and Impella Experience Preferred
Required to float to all like units
3+ years of critical care acute care Level 1 trauma hospital experience required
Orientation
- 2 days of orientation in the classroom
- No on-unit orientation
Unit Information:
Cooper has 4 intensive care units:
K3 is a 16 bed neuro intensive care unit caring for stroke, post neuro intervention and neurosurgery patients.
P10 is a 24 bed Level 1 Trauma Surgical intensive care unit caring for Level 1 Trauma surgical/interventional patients
K4 is a 30 bed Cardiovascular surgery (open heart surgery) and medical intensive care unit patients.
K5 is a 13 bed Cardiac Care unit caring for cardiac medical and post cardiac cath patients.
All units have a 2 patient to 1 nurse ratio which can increase or decrease depending on acuity and stability of a patient. Agency RNs are in a critical care float pool so can be assigned to any one of these 4 units and may be assigned to intermediate units on other floors in the hospital. Ratios on intermediate level are 1 nurse to 3-4 patients depending on acuity. Agency RN will be successful if they have had experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center.
