1. Position Summary: This position supports the mission of The Medical Center of Aurora of optimizing the quality of life of all those served by expanding beyond the traditional focus on medical needs to the needs of the whole person. The Cath Lab RN oversees and directs the care of the cardiac patient. The Cath Lab RN is responsible for the care of cardiac cath patients. Serves as primary nurse leading the collaboration of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care. Oversees and directs the care of assistive personnel, maintaining final accountability for the care given to assigned patients. When the need arises, will perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

1. Position Requirements:

1. Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multistate Registered Nurse license. Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross. ACLS required within the first 12 months of hire.

1. Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

1. Experience: One-year experience in acute care preferred.

1. Special Qualifications: Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and other health care team members. Ability to manage a team and work with others within a team to ensure quality patient care. Strong critical thinking skills.
