Shift: 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Med/Surg Telemetry Nurse to join our team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Med/Surg Telemetry units, addressing both medical and surgical needs, as well as telemetry monitoring. Nurses in these units will manage a diverse patient population, including those with gastrointestinal issues, cardiac conditions, renal problems, and altered mental status. This position demands a strong foundation in med/surg nursing and the ability to balance the complexities of high-acuity settings.

Unit Structure and Patient Ratios:

- Med 2: 24 beds, specializing in combined med/surg and stroke care, focusing on the monitoring and support of stroke patients.
- Med 3: 34 beds, serving as a general med/surg telemetry unit.
- Patient Ratios: Typically 6:1.

Key Responsibilities:

- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Monitor patient vital signs and telemetry readings effectively.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide quality patient care.
- Educate patients and families regarding health conditions and care techniques.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care.

Qualifications:

- Current nursing license.
- Strong background in med/surg nursing and telemetry care.
- Excellent critical thinking and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
