Position Summary: Saint Marys Regional Health System is seeking an experienced and dedicated Travel RN to join the Med/Surg Telemetry unit on night shift. This role involves caring for adult and geriatric patients with a variety of acute medical conditions requiring telemetry monitoring. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to patients with cardiac telemetry needs, post-operative recovery, and acute medical diagnoses
- Monitor and interpret telemetry data and promptly report significant changes to the care team
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and other nursing treatments per physician orders
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to implement and evaluate individualized care plans
- Document assessments, interventions, medications, and responses in the electronic health record
- Support patient education efforts related to diagnoses, treatments, and discharge instructions
- Maintain compliance with hospital protocols and safety standards
Qualifications:
- Active RN license in Arkansas or compact state eligibility
- Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ASN or BSN)
- Minimum 2 yearsof recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience required
- BLS and ACLS certifications required; other specialty certifications preferred
- Proficiency in charting using electronic health records (e.g., Epic or Cerner)
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and time management abilities
