Job Title: Cardiac Cath Lab Nurse

Shift: Day 4x10-Hour (07:00 - 17:30)

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Cardiac Cath Lab Nurse to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional with a passion for cardiac care to provide high-quality patient support in our cardiac catheterization lab. The ideal candidate will possess the necessary skills and qualifications to excel in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional patient care in the Cardiac Cath Lab, performing diagnostic and interventional procedures.
- Administer medications, including antiarrhythmics and antihypertensives, during cardiac procedures.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care for patients undergoing cardiac procedures.
- Monitor patients during and after procedures, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and infection prevention measures.
- Participate in the set-up and operation of specialized cardiac equipment, including IABP, Impella, and ECMO systems.
- Assist in the management of emergent situations in the Cath Lab setting, including cardiac emergencies and post-procedural care.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a cardiac catheterization lab (3 years preferred).
- Valid state or compact nursing license at the time of submission.
- Current certifications in ACLS and BLS; CPI certification preferred.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret dysrhythmias.
- Experience with procedural sedation administration and monitoring.
- Familiarity with various cardiac procedures, including PCI, ASD closures, and valvuloplasty.
- Must be comfortable floating to other units as needed and willing to participate in on-call rotations.

Unit Details:
- Patient Age Groups: Adults
- Daily Census: Approximately 15 patients.
- Special Procedures: Right and left heart catheterizations, percutaneous coronary interventions, and various closure techniques.

Scheduling Details:
- Expected to work one weekend shift on call per month and one holiday when it falls within the contract.
- Must be flexible to accommodate the dynamic nature of the Cath Lab.
