Medication Tech- Large Senior Living Community

Role Overview
Our Medication Tech provides activities of daily living and other services to residents in accordance with their service plan. Responsibilities
- Assist resident with all personal care skills (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting) and services in accordance with the Individual Resident Service Plan, using safe, courteous, and effective standards of practice.
- Make appropriate observations about the residents condition during interaction with the resident and record changes in a timely manner. Report any changes to the HW Director, Nurse, or designated charge person immediately.
- Records omission of resident services/medications according to company policy/procedures, and standards.
- Assists in recording temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates, and food and fluid intake and output, as directed.
- Aid in the delivery of specific participation in programs, such as fall prevention, safety, and socialization to all residents.
- Participate in family conferences as needed to discuss the residents status and review the appropriate service plan and medication regimen.
Qualifications
- Can do attitude and willingness to go above and beyond when needed to serve our residents
- Ability to work as a team and also independently
- Previous
- A love for seniors
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or three months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and caregiver experience desired.
- Preferred to have a valid, unrestricted certification in the state (CNA desired) and maintain CEUs as required by the State.
- CPR and First Aid certification or successfully achieved within 30 days of employment if required by state standards.
