Job Description: Cath Lab Tech

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cath Lab Tech to join our dynamic team. This position is designed for dedicated professionals looking to make a significant impact in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The Cath Lab Tech will provide exceptional care in our catheterization laboratory, specifically for vascular and cardiac procedures.

Position Details:

- Shifts: 4x10 hour shifts, from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- Experience Required: Minimum of 2 years in a Cath Lab setting
- Certifications Required: ACLS, BLS, ARRT with a valid MD License or RCIS
- On-call Requirements: Yes, approximately 7-12 days of call in a 6-week period, with specific hours for weekday and weekend coverage
- Location: Candidates must reside within a 30-minute radius of the hospital for on-call shifts

Job Responsibilities:

- Assist in performing diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, including angioplasty, stenting, and electrophysiology studies.
- Monitor patient vital signs and ensure accurate readings throughout procedures.
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team including physicians and nursing staff to provide high-quality patient care.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols during procedures.
- Maintain and operate high-end medical equipment, ensuring all equipment is in working order and properly sterilized.

Unit Details:
- The Cath Lab features four procedure rooms and handles approximately 280 cases each month, including STEMI cases.
- Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and unit secretary.

Preferred Skills:
- Proficient in cardioversion, pacemaker insertion, and cardiac mapping.
- Experienced in performing a variety of catheterization techniques with a focus on patient safety and accuracy.
