Premier Medical Staffing Services is seeking a travel Surgical Technologist for a travel job in Kearney, Nebraska.
Job Description Requirements

HIGHLIGHTS:
- Must have orthopedic trauma experience
- Required Certifications: BLS, CST-preferred not required
- Scrubbing not required for RNs
- Call response time 15 minutes
- No floating requirements
- One weeknight per week call requirement - end of shift until 0700 next morning
- Three weekend days per month call requirement, 24 hour shifts
- Holiday call requirements as needed
- Need someone who scores 3s in neuro
- Must be competent to take Neuro-trauma call
- Must be able to independently do cranial procedures
- Techs MUST be able to do cranial procedures independently
- Techs should have ortho total and ortho trauma experience in addition to general OR experience
- Must be able to scrub
- License to Submit: Yes
ADDITIONAL DETAILS:
- One week of unit/department specific orientation
- Artificial nails are prohibited in all departments providing patient care- refusal to remove nails will lead to termination of contract
- Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment, 3 shifts for assignments that are less than 13 weeks
- Facility will NOT approve block scheduling or same schedule/shifts of travel duos
- Travelers MUST be flexible and willing to float and work when needed

- Number of Suites: 11 rooms
- Average number of cases per day: 18 cases
- Common Cases: orthopedics, urology, ENT, neuro- backs, cranis
- Some peds for RNs only
- Use Davinci robotics, Mako, Stealth, and Scopis
- Manager and charge daily- no room assignment
- OR techs yes
- EMR: EPIC
- Shifts Scheduling: 8s or 10s beginning at 0700 M-F, same schedule week to week
- Call is somewhat self scheduled
- Scrubs are provided
- Charting System: Epic Systems Corporation - EpicCare Inpatient - EMR
- BSN Required
- Care Setting: Acute
- Division: Allied
- Shift Notes: 8 or 10 hour days plus call
- Good surgeon/anesthesia partnership, have a good variety of cases and levels of acuity
