Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in providing quality patient care in diverse surgical specialties, including but not limited to orthopedic, neurological, and robotic surgeries. As an OR RN, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare patients for surgical procedures, ensuring informed consent is obtained and communicated effectively.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to facilitate seamless surgical operations.
- Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to best practices in infection control.
- Scrub and circulate during surgeries, assisting surgeons with instruments and materials.
- Monitor patient vitals and conditions before, during, and after surgical interventions.
- Document all nursing care accurately in the electronic health records system (EPIC).
- Educate patients and their families on post-operative care and recovery.

Qualifications:

- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a main OR setting (not a surgery center).
- Proficiency in a wide range of surgical procedures, including:
- Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm repair
- Carotid Endarterectomy
- Laparoscopic-assisted cases
- Thoracotomy, VATS, Radical neck dissection
- Various gynecological and urological procedures
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is preferred.
- Previous charge experience preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Patient Demographics:

- Working with adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatric populations in a fast-paced surgical environment.
