Job Title: Radiologic Technologist

Schedule: 7.5 Hour Variable Shift

SUMMARY: Join our dynamic Imaging Department as a Radiologic Technologist, where you will perform high-quality radiographic exams under the guidance of our expert Radiologists. This is an exciting opportunity for you to contribute to patient care by executing General Radiology procedures, including special procedures and portable exams, while adhering to strict regulatory standards and professional practices.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Direct Patient Care: Utilize your expertise in anatomy and positioning to deliver optimal radiographic techniques with maximum safety for patients. Engage with patients and their families in a professional manner, attend to their concerns, and ensure accurate verification of provider orders. Educate patients throughout their imaging procedures to enhance their understanding and comfort.

• Equipment and Safety Maintenance: Champion hygiene and safety by adhering to infection control policies. Monitor and maintain sufficient supplies in examination rooms and perform regular quality assurance checks on equipment, reporting any issues promptly. Follow safety protocols, including wearing radiation badges, and assist in the safe handling and transport of patients.

• Professional Development: Take initiative to improve departmental standards by attending meetings, sharing insights, and pursuing ongoing education. Demonstrate responsibility for personal growth while adhering to departmental policies and maintaining compliance with all regulations.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Graduate of an Accredited Radiologic Technology Program.

Required Certification/Licensure:

• New York State Department of Health Licensure.

• Registered with ARRT.

• BLS certification required within 3 months of hire.

Required Years of Experience:

• 1 year of experience in a general radiography setting.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• IV Certification.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Medium work-requires exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 25 pounds of force frequently, including regular walking and standing.

PAY RANGE:

$29.15 - $42.34
