Nationwide Therapy Group is seeking a travel Respiratory Therapist for a travel job in Evansville, Indiana.
Job Description Requirements

Position: Respiratory Therapist
Shift: Night, 3x12-Hour Shifts
Summary:
Provide high-quality, intensive respiratory care and patient transport within the scope of practice and with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patients and develop treatment plans; explain procedures, tests, and equipment.
- Administer physician-ordered respiratory therapies using invasive/non-invasive ventilators, oxygen therapy, aerosol and nebulizer devices.
- Perform chest physiotherapy, suctioning (oropharyngeal, nasal, tracheal), and secretion clearance.
- Monitor patients with oximetry, capnography; review chest X-rays and perform 12-lead EKGs and basic arrhythmia recognition.
- Conduct pulmonary function tests (NIF, VC) and assist with bronchoscopies, chest tube placements, tracheostomies, and related care.
- Perform arterial blood gas sampling and analysis; follow all lab protocols for moderate complexity testing.
- Provide CPR per BLS/ACLS, insert/remove endotracheal tubes using standard or video laryngoscopy.
- Operate, maintain, and monitor all ventilatory equipment; ensure setup, self-testing, and preventative maintenance.
- Document treatments and patient responses accurately; communicate with physicians and team members.
- Maintain accurate respiratory therapy charges and complete shift handoff reports.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
