Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center, a 133-bed hospital committed to offering Fredericksburg and its residents the highest standard of care.
Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center is a general acute care, community hospital with 133 beds, all in private rooms, and a wide range of inpatient and outpatient medical services. We are part the Commonwealth's most comprehensive healthcare network, HCA Virginia Health System.
Our history and culture
We opened in 2010 and operate as a community hospital. Our management team and board of trustees live in and are committed to the community. Our board establishes policies and sets expectations for the hospital based on its knowledge and understanding of local healthcare issues. The Ethisphere has named our parent company, HCA Healthcare, to one of the World's Most Ethical Company list for eight years in a row.
Spotsylvania and the surrounding region are projected to be the second-fastest growing county in Virginia in the next decade. The entire region is expected to reach a population of 450,000 eventually. The population is also aging rapidly, which will drive up the demand for healthcare services. Before our opening, patients left the area to receive care at more than twice the rate seen in the rest of the state. The Spotsylvania County Board of Supervisors and the Spotsylvania County Department of Fire, Rescue and Emergency Management depend on our hospital.
