At The Woman's Hospital of Texas, we celebrate the uniqueness of every woman. We believe in providing personalized care with understanding, compassion, and support tailored to each individual at every life stage. Recognizing that healthcare is not one-size-fits-all, our philosophy is Woman First. This principle is embedded in our name and our founding mission.

Established in 1976 by 29 visionary physicians, our hospital was created to address Houston's need for a dedicated facility focusing on women's health throughout all life stages. Our founders intentionally named it Woman’s, not Women’s, to honor each patient as an individual deserving personal attention. As the first women's hospital in Houston and Texas's pioneering facility for women and newborns, we have grown into the state's leading center for women's and children's health.

We offer exceptional expertise in breast health, imaging, gynecology, minimally-invasive surgery, infertility, obstetrics, high-risk pregnancy, NICU (neonatal intensive care), and pediatrics. With over 800 babies delivered monthly—more than any other Texas hospital—we also lead in caring for multiple births in the region.

Our commitment to outstanding care is reflected in our team of over 650 board-certified physicians and more than 400 licensed beds. We are recognized as a Center of Excellence in Minimally Invasive Gynecology, Continence Care, and Robotic Surgery. Our Level IV NICU provides the highest care level for premature infants, while our Level IV Maternal facility offers comprehensive care for pregnant and postpartum patients facing low-risk to complex conditions.

Additionally, we are proud to host the area's only March of Dimes NICU Family Support program and hold the designation of a Texas Ten Step facility. At The Woman's Hospital of Texas, we are dedicated to advancing women's health with unparalleled care and expertise.
