RiverWoods began as a grassroots initiative, born from a group of residents gathered around a kitchen table, envisioning a vibrant lifestyle with the assurance of healthcare when needed. This vision materialized with the opening of our first campus in 1994, and since then, our journey of growth and dreaming has continued unabated. We've discovered that our strength lies in unity.

Today, RiverWoods stands as a dynamic family of charitable not-for-profit Continuing Care Retirement Communities (CCRCs), pioneering the redefinition of active adulthood. Our dedicated staff leads with innovation, ensuring we remain at the forefront of this transformation. Our three CCRCs—RiverWoods Exeter, RiverWoods Manchester, and RiverWoods Durham—offer community, purpose, and peace of mind to an expanding number of adults.
