With the right data and technology, individuals and institutions can tackle complex challenges and drive positive change. In 2004, we observed that existing technology was too inflexible for novel problems, while custom systems were slow to deploy and costly to maintain. Automated solutions struggled against adaptive adversaries, and rigid access controls forced organizations into difficult choices between collaboration and data security. Recognizing the need for a new kind of technology, we founded Palantir.

Our mission is to create products that enable human-driven analysis of real-world data. We focus on delivering an exceptional user experience that empowers users to explore complex questions without needing expertise in querying languages, statistical modeling, or command-line interfaces. To achieve this, we develop platforms for integrating, managing, and securing data, complemented by applications that support fully interactive human-driven, machine-assisted analysis.
