Since 1981, MTC has been dedicated to making a meaningful social impact in people's lives. Our mission is to provide hope, skills, and opportunities for a better future. We envision becoming a global leader in social impact by transforming lives and strengthening communities.
Our core values—integrity, equity, performance, compassion, and innovation—guide us in creating safe, secure, and healthy environments. We foster a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion while striving for operational excellence and successful learning outcomes. Engaged employees and effective leaders are crucial to our financial stability and growth, as well as maintaining positive stakeholder relations.
We assist individuals through effective rehabilitative programs in the U.S., United Kingdom, and Australia, aiming to make prison time more productive and reduce re-offending. In partnership with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), we ensure a comfortable environment for those in their care. We address the medical, dental, and mental health needs of inmates and detainees while educating young Americans with essential technical and life skills for employment. Additionally, we provide workforce training internationally to empower individuals to support themselves and their families.
MTC operates 22 Job Corps centers, 19 correctional facilities, 13 prison and detention medical departments, 3 community release centers, 7 detention centers, 19 treatment programs, 2 outpatient behavioral health programs, and 1 workforce development site worldwide. Our headquarters are located in Centerville, Utah, with a dedicated team of over 8,000 staff globally.
Every day, MTC impacts over 26,000 men and women through rehabilitation efforts. We educate and train more than 14,000 students for today's job market annually. Our students have earned over 15,000 primary industry-recognized credentials at MTC centers.
